Thread - Celebrating Creativity in Historic and Contemporary Quilts

This event runs from 10:00am on the 25th March, to 5:00pm on the 4th June and will take place at Torre Abbey Historic House and Gardens, Torquay (next to the Riviera Centre). It is a Guild event being organised by The Quilters' Guild, http://www.torre-abbey.org.uk.

There will be an exhibition of the Guild's Collection at Torre Abbey, organised by The Quilters' Guild and curated by Heather Audin.

The exhibition is an equal mix of historic and contemporary pieces from the Collection, and is a great opportunity for Quilters’ Guild members, travelling to Torquay from all over the country to celebrate patchwork and quilting at the annual conference, to have access to pieces from their own collection.

Any Guild member visiting the exhibition during the time of the conference will be entitled to a 50% discount on the admission price, which is £7.85 for adults or £6.45 for concessions.  The museum is right next door to the conference venue, so an easy walk from the Riviera Centre.
